The Legal Weapon play was written by Mark Wheeler and tells the fictional story of a sixth-form couple 'Andy' and 'Jazz'.

Their relationship is punctuated by the death of Andy's grandad (a heart attack due to a break-in), a sizeable inheritance (spent on a performance car), brushes with the law (for speeding) and exam pressure.

When Jazz goes to college, Andy drives their relationship to ruin...

Legal Weapon is performed to S5-6 pupils throughout Scotland each year and examines common behaviour in young drivers that leads to the high risk of accident in this age group.

The play is funded by the Scottish Road Safety Campaign in association with GETINLANE. It is performed by Baldy Bane Theatre Company.
